Calibrating Optimal Picture on my HDTV? (Sony Bravia LCD Projection KDF-46E3000)?

Im pretty sure my tv can produce a better spitting image than i have right now. its 1080p ready, i have HDMI cables and an HD Well-organized Atlantic DVR Box....

I first found this TV at Fry's electronics and promptly was blown in another place from the oily form, envisage and guerdon.
